Reaching Level 10: Battlegrounds, Achievements, and Specializations
Bartlett the Brave will have a yellow question mark above his head for the "A Swift Message" Quest that Smith Argus gave you a while ago. When you right-click to turn the Quest in, it should give you enough XP to reach Level 10--Congratulations! If you still don't have quite enough XP to reach Level 10, try killing some enemies south of Goldshire until you do. Upon reaching Level 10, you'll receive several on-screen notifications very quickly.
First, you now have access to the Battlegrounds--a means of organized Player vs Player combat against the opposing Faction. If you'd like to learn more about PvP Battlegrounds, check out this webpage (http://www.wowpedia.org/Battleground).
Second, you unlock what should be your first WoW Achievement by reaching Level 10. Achievements are special milestones that help you review (and show off) your accomplishments in the game. Every Achievement has a point value assigned to it, with some Achievements being worth more points than others. For the most part, unlocking Achievements is just a nice, fun bonus to your in-game activities, but some Achievements do have "tangible" rewards in the form of titles you can display with your Character's name, or even special items like Mounts--creatures or vehicles you can ride to get around faster (you'll be able to purchase your first Mount when you reach Level 20).
Third, Level 10 is important because it's the first time you choose a Specialization, or "Spec," for your Character. Press the "N" Key on your keyboard to access your Specialization window, as shown here:

The three Specs you have to choose from for your Warrior are
Arms, Fury, and Protection. The Arms and Fury Specs represent two different
styles of dealing damage to enemies, while the Protection Spec is designed to
allow a Warrior to better function as a "tank" in Party situations,
and to just be harder to kill in general. You can choose whichever Spec you
want, but most Players choose a damage-dealing (DPS) Spec while leveling a
Character up. Fury is a popular Spec choice for leveling up Warriors, so we'll choose that one for this walkthrough. When you choose Fury, you'll receive the active Abilities Bloodthirst and Execute, and the passive Ability called Crazed Berzerker. Bloodthirst replaces Heroic Strike, and it restores small amounts of your Health and generates Rage in addition to damaging your enemies. Execute allows you to perform a powerful attack on an enemy that has been badly injured (i.e. its health is at 20% or lower). Crazed Berzerker is a passive ability that allows you to dual-wield one-handed and two-handed weapons of any kind (you'll deal 30% more damage if you only use one-handed weapons), and your off-hand weapon damage increases by 25% when using two-handed weapons & by 50% when using one-handed weapons. Now, head over to Corina Steele to buy a Two-Handed Sword to equip in your off-hand slot! To do this, open your Character Info window, left-click on the Two-Handed Sword in your inventory, and drag it over to the empty slot next to the one that your Well-Used Greatsword is equipped in.
Note: Once you select your specialization, it can not be changed unless you go to a Class Trainer and pay to change it. This becomes more expensive each time you do it, so be careful!
