Moving Your Character
_
The movement controls for WoW may take seem confusing, but they're actually
quite simple once you get the hang of them. To move your character around, use
the following default controls on your keyboard:
As an alternative to using the "W," "S," "A," and "D" Keys to move forward & backward and turn left & right, you can use the Arrow Keys. You can also "steer" your Character using the mouse by holding down the Right mouse button and moving your mouse to the left or right, while using your keyboard to move. In addition, you can move your character forward using only the mouse by holding down both mouse buttons. Finally, you can rotate your view all around your Character by holding down the Left mouse button and dragging your mouse around.
Try moving and jumping around in the space in front of Northshire Abbey to get accustomed to the movement controls. Once you feel comfortable with moving your character, look around you to find one of the other Players in the area (they should be easy to spot because of their names that are always over their heads, and by their irregular movement). You'll now take this opportunity to interact with them using one of WoW's most indispensable features: The in-game chat system.
